One of the most common questions I get is:
“Do you also file taxes?”
The short answer?
No — and that is completely intentional.
Bookkeepers Anonymous was built to focus on bookkeeping, cleanup, reconciliations, organization, and maintaining accurate financial records year-round.
Tax preparation, tax filings, tax strategy, and compliance work are best left to licensed tax professionals, CPAs, and Enrolled Agents who specialize in that work every single day.
And honestly?
That’s not our party.
We believe businesses are served best when professionals stay in their lane and do what they do best.
A strong bookkeeping system makes a CPA or EA’s job significantly easier:
• cleaner financials
• fewer corrections
• fewer missing transactions
• clearer documentation
• organized balance sheet accounts
• less backtracking during tax season
• fewer surprises
That saves everyone time especially the client.
One of the biggest frustrations I’ve seen accountants mention repeatedly is hesitation around referring bookkeeping firms that also aggressively market tax services.
Why?
Because many firms eventually become competitors for the tax relationship.
Bookkeepers Anonymous was intentionally designed with CPAs and EAs in mind.
We are not trying to replace your tax professional.
We are trying to help support them.
That means:
• properly reconciled accounts
• organized books
• documented adjustments
• clean year-end records
• communication when needed
• less cleanup work during filing season
If a CPA receives books from us and only needs to make a few minor year-end adjustments, that is a win for everyone involved.
And for business owners:
You should never feel embarrassed about needing bookkeeping help.
Many business owners are overwhelmed, busy, understaffed, or simply wearing too many hats.
Messy books happen far more often than people realize.
The important thing is getting things back under control accurately and professionally.
That’s where we come in.
Clean books.
Clear communication.
CPA-ready financials.
No tax-season turf wars.
